Well we seem to have a large meeting. As of this update (7th June) we have more than 63 Elefants coming with more than 78 people altogether. I know there will be a few last minute additions as well as those who do not register. All are welcome.

There might be an opportunity to do some back lane roads so for those of you who want to get muddy be prepared.

There are some roadwork's on the M25 around Junction 14 so be careful those of you who are coming that way.

Route from the South East.

The riders coming from the Dover Folkestone area follow this routing for the best results.

  1.  Go North on the M20 out of Dover /Folkestone and follow the signs for M25 Heathrow/Gatwick.
  2.  Once on the M25 follow the motorway towards Heathrow but get off at Junction 12 M3 going South on the M3 towards Basingstoke / Southampton.
  3. Going south on the M3 get off at junction 3 - A322 Lightwater. Turn left at the end of the off ramp towards Lightwater/Guildford.
  4. Follow the dual carriageway  (Guildford) to end about 3kms. At the end of the dual carriageway stay in the right-hand lane and go straight across the roundabout following the A322.
  5. This will lead you into Bisley and just you come into Bisley there is a small welcome to Bisley sign at the side of the road
  6. After the welcome to Bisley sign turn right at the next set of traffic lights (not pedestrian crossings) there is a white and red sign marked Bisley Camp NRA at the junction with Queens Road.
  7. Be careful the road is quite windy and at the end there is a sharp turn into the NRA Camp.
  8. I will try to put Elefant signs up to help mark the way, have a look out for it. The camp site is just inside the gate up on the right hand side in front of the Hunters Lodge. There is plenty of grass to camp on so move close-up to the Hunters Lodge building. If you can bring some English cash with you on Friday this will be helpful to pay for accommodation and food until you can sort yourself out.

Route from the North

  1. Just follow the M25 in an anti-clockwise direction being careful of the roadwork's along the Heathrow stretch junctions 15 - 13. Get off at junction 12 going south towards oing South on the M3 towards Basingstoke / Southampton.
  2. Going south on the M3 get off at junction 3 - A322 Lightwater. Turn left at the end of the off ramp towards Lightwater/Guildford.
  3. Follow the dual carriageway  (Guildford) to end about 3kms. At the end of the dual carriageway stay in the right-hand lane and go straight across the roundabout following the A322.

Weather

You can obtain a reasonable weather outlook if you look at http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml and select London as the area. At the moment the week leading into the 12-13 is looking good lets hope it stay like this.

Due to the cost of having the T-shirt made as well as the prizes to be given out a small charge will be levied for the T-shirt of £5. Here below is a sample of the T-shirt and if you wish to have more than 1 please let me know as soon as possible. The shirts are good quality and the artwork is great.
